Fun with your OBGYN day

Welp, today I have an appointment with my OBGYN for an endometrial biopsy.

Long story short — I will be having a hysterectomy on July 2.

The doc did a sonogram at my last visit and can’t find my ovaries (weird) — and basically my uterus lining is too thick.

I’ve been avoiding the “H” word for about a year now and I decided it’s time to face the music and get this stuff under control.

I popped a few motrin and in about 30 minutes will be in the office. It’s not my first biopsy, but still a lil nervous.

More concerned about the aftermath of bleeding and cramping — not sure why, it’s nothing new.

As far as I know all my blood work was normal. This is just to rule out cancer so the doc knows how to proceed with the surgery.

I had a great weekend — spent camping, staining a deck and watching Harry Potter for the first time.

I chose to push through the hand/finger pain and make myself useful — and I’m glad I did. I wasn’t near as sore as I thought I would be after three days of painting. I’ll post some pics later, but for now — I’m headed to the OBGYN office.

~ wish me luck!! (I’ll post results as soon as I get them).

Until next time friends,

About Imkjac

I love my work. I also love the following things: God, my boys, my family, dogs, cats, writing, photography, reading (a bit of a lit geek actually), cooking, being outdoors, hiking, fishing, film, music, Spotify, beards, tattoos, board games, TV (also a TV geek), Netflix, pajamas, antiquing, interior decorating (DIY), blankets, polar bears, art, food. I dislike these things: elevators, heights, unclear water, bridges. Thanks for reading my blog and hoping it brings some comfort and joy to others.
